Position Summary
The Lead Diagnostic Imaging Assistant promotes a positive patient and family experience as the first impression of the Diagnostic Imaging department by creating a welcoming atmosphere to all patients families and providers. The Lead Diagnostic Imaging Assistant is responsible for the efficient and orderly registration and checkin of patients and acts as a liaison between patients families and hospital staff. Obtains accurate and complete patient demographic information and required consents before notifying appropriate modalities of the patients arrival. Supports Childrens departments and clinics in uploading images for future referred patients as well as sending images and reports to outside facilities for continuation of care. The Lead will work across all campuses and provide backup support as needed. The Lead will create and maintain all Diagnostic Imaging Assistant schedules. The Lead will onboard and train new staff and give realtime troubleshooting.
The schedule for this role will primarily be Monday through Friday 7:30am4:00pm.
License/Certification/Registration required No
Education:
*High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
*More than one year of customer service experience required
*Previous experience with medical imaging software applications and the staff and vendors whose work relates to those systems.
*More than one year of medical office setting experience preferred
*Experience in a Diagnostic Imaging setting preferred
*Previous experience in a lead or informal leadership role preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
*Exceptional customer service skills

*Proper spelling and grammar
*Ability to perform front desk clinic functions
*Computer knowledge and navigating
*HIPAA knowledge and ability to handle confidential information
*Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance

*Ability to multitask and prioritize work
*Troubleshooting skills
The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or oncall work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
