Overview
Baking Assistant at USU helps our Bakers prepare bread cookies donuts cakes pastries and other baked goods to be served in all Dining Services locations across campus including University Catering.
USU Dining is seeking people that will Create an Excellent College Experience and provide quality service to all customers. We are searching for candidates that will go the extra mile to be a strong dedicated employee and will continually grow and adapt to a fast work environment.
Hours:
- MondayFriday 3am9am

Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Running large industrial mixers to make batter dough frosting etc.
- Baking
- Measuring weighing and portioning precisely
- Cake Decorating
- Stocking & Filling ingredient bins (includes lifting 50lb bags of flour sugar etc.
- Keeping work area clean and orderly
Qualifications
- This is an entry level position but will need to be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Food handlers permit is required within the first 30 days of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of baking
- Previous food handling experience

This position requires moderate physical effort. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including lifting up to 50 pounds walking and standing for long periods of time. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
