Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Manages the shipment and receipt of all products materials and supplies.
  • Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians customer service representatives service providers and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
  • Tracks traces and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Maintains a clean neat and memberready area.
  • Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
  • Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves scanning inventory and counting accurately.
  • Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
  • Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
  • Position advises direct reports in the shipping/receiving department.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma GED or equivalent.
  • 6 months logistics retail or customer service experience
  • Proficient computer skills
  • 3 years of Warehouse/Shipping Supervisory Experience
  • Experience in freight shipments
  • Stand stoop bend squat pick place and lift up to 50lbs. through the shift.
  • Well versed in Fed EX & UPS software.
  • Must be a proactive leader with a strong sense of initiative.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing sitting walking bending as needed.
  • Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges with or without correction.
  • Using proper lifting technique may be required to lift objects up to 30 lbs.
  • Required to operate traditional office equipment including computers copiers fax machines and telephones.

Mental Requirements:

  • Must have an analytical and processdriven approach with a high attention to detail.
  • Capability in multitasking including prioritization of work and management / organization of time.
  • Ability to work well crossfunctionally and throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Strong managerial courage and ability to work through resistance and pushback to change.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Superb influencing / negotiation skills and ability to influence for results without hierarchical authority.
  • Displays ambitious positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities meet deadlines work proactively and independently in a fastchanging environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly diplomatically and professionally at all times.
