Who We Want
As Business Development Associate Manager at Arrive you will play a vital role in the development of our business as we transition from a thriving startup to a major player in the 3PL space. From day one you will leverage your industry knowledge and high energy to develop new sales reps in the Combine improve upon our existing customer relationships and develop yourself into a leader at Arrive. This is an opportunity to apply your robust freight brokerage expertise to a leadership role.
What Youll Do
- Become an expert in Arrives business model competitive advantages and upcoming proprietary software.
- Act as a liaison between departments and their respective teams.
- Work with a team of new business development reps to develop their relationships with existing and prospective customers with a focus on those new to the industry.
- Set expectations for your team and ensure each rep meets or exceeds their metric goals through coaching and incentives.
- Enhance reps market knowledge and assist with pricing/negotiation as needed.
- Oversee award management to ensure appropriate shipments are accepted customers are providing the right volume and lanes and profitability is evaluated.
- Support individual contributors on team dispatch control boards including managing appointments load details and pricing.
- Collaborate with the assigned business development manager to drive best practices and improve team efficiency.
- Assist with managing aging to limit invoicing issues and maintain healthy DSOs (Days Sales Outstanding).
- Utilize the new customer onboarding SOP to ensure efficient and accurate onboarding that sets Arrive Logistics apart.
- Support and implement service initiatives to drive customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- An Associate or Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least three years of experience in Customer Operations or Account Management within a 3PL environment.
- Previous management experience preferred.
- An existing book of business and established account contacts is a plus.
- Demonstrated market awareness and ability to price TL (Truckload) shipments accordingly.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams to achieve results.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Willingness to travel up to 10 of the time.
- Strong desire to develop and mentor the next generation of freight brokers.
Supervisory Responsibility
- This position has supervisory responsibility over direct reports within a Business Development Managers team.
- Ability to challenge the team and hold them accountable through defined goals and metrics.
- This is an inoffice role with occasional opportunities to work from home. Leading the team in person is essential for success in this role.

$60000 $75000 a year
The base salary range for this position is $60000 $75000 plus bonus and benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the pay range for the position across all locations. Within the range individual pay is determined based on work location jobrelated skills experience relevant education or training.
