The Ohio Department of Transportation District 2 is accepting applications for Summer Laborers for the following counties/departments: Henry Lucas Ottawa Sandusky Seneca and Williams counties Bridge dept and Northwood outpost. There are multiple positions. Your application will be considered for all positions.
What You Will Do:
- Flag/traffic control for highway maintenance
- Drive pickup truck to set out/pick up signs & follow mowing crew
- Roadside litter pickup clean &/or wash vehicles & equipment
- Clean/hose down garage areas
- Use eater to trim around buildings fences etc.
- Help clean up roadsides when work crews are cutting brush/tree trimming
This position is overtime eligible based FLSA Standards.
This position is unclassified per Section 124.11(A)29.
The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Criminal convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration for a position. An individual assessment of an applicants prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.
The final applicants selected for these positions will be required to submit to urinalysis prior to appointment to test for illegal drug use. An applicant with a positive test result will not be offered employment.
