ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

- Pay Considerations The salary range for the position is $92434.42 $138655.27. Starting salary is dependent on education qualifications and experience. Existing employees will receive increases as outlined by their bargaining agreement.
- Work Schedule This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week 9 hours per day day 36 hour work week) Monday through Thursday 7:00am to 5:00pm.
THE ROLE
Under limited direction manages and supervises team members for civil engineering design and/orconstruction projects and programs; performs professional and technical engineering duties; performsseniorlevel engineering planning design and/or construction oversight for various building constructionremodeling and major repairs as well as for flood control water and wastewater utilities and otherpublic facilities.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate for this position has significant experience working with Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) as outlined in the Engineering and Construction Management Engineer Section and delivering projects funded by RTCSNV CCRFCD SNPLMA NDOT or similar local and Federal partners. This experience should include either leading or assisting in the development of scope and fees plans specifications and bid packages. Familiarity with bidding and awarding public contracts is a bonus. Further knowledge and skill in managing projects related to facility repairs and renovations is desirable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civilengineering or a closely related field.
- Four 4 years of professional engineering experience in the applicable area of responsibility(Engineering Services Development and Flood Control Technical Services Water/Wastewater or
Transportation Services) preferably in a public agency.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Nevada state drivers license and maintain asatisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Nevada. If registered in another state must obtainNevada registration within one 1 year of hire/reclassification. Registered Professional Architect inState of Nevada. If registered in another state must obtain Nevada registration within one 1 year of hire/reclassification. (Public Works Engineering Services candidates only).
- Certification through the Association of State Floodplain Managers Certified Floodplain Manager Program required within one 1 year of hire/reclassification. (Development and Flood Control Division candidates only)
- Certification as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer preferred. (Traffic Engineering Position candidates only)
SELECTION PROCESS

- The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process.
- Oral Panel Interview Weighted 100 Passing Score 70.
- PreEmployment Screening Selected candidates for this position are subject to a preemployment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.
- Selection/Offers
Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the internal eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100 requiring a passing score of 70 in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.
The selection process may include any combination of written performance and oral assessments to evaluate jobrelated education experience knowledge skills and abilities.
