Finance/ Office Manager

Overview

We are seeking a Finance/Office Manager to join an established finance team. As one of the largest players in their industry they are committed to delivering excellence in their finance function to support our overall strategic aims and objectives. The Finance Manager will report directly to the Group Head of Finance and work alongside the Group Management Accountant.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and mentoring to the finance team
  • Review financial controls and implement operational efficiencies
  • Preparation of VAT data and PAYE reconciliations
  • All aspects of financial accounting to trial balance and assistance with preparing accruals and prepayments
  • Provide support to the team for complex queries relating to payroll payments cash book journals etc.
  • Develop effective partnerships with directors managers and senior staff
  • Manage and build effective working relationships within the finance team

Qualifications

  • Experience working as a finance professional in a complex organisation
  • Experience managing a team
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office packages including Outlook Word and Excel
  • Ability to analyze and interpret management information to identify key patterns and trends

Desirable

  • Experience with Pegasus Opera 3 (Payroll and Accounts Package)
  • Accountancy qualification AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA (beneficial but not essential QBE will definitely be considered)
