Job Description
Bemana is searching for a CoGen Operator to join a rapidly growing team.The CoGen Operator is responsible for monitoring the daily operations and performing light maintenance of a microgrid powering a casino near Sacramento CA.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Hourly rate up to $60/hour based on experience. If your target pay is higher we still encourage you to applywe could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the service of industrial gas and diesel engines and all ancillary equipment including balance of plant controls and monitoring systems.
- Communicate with the director and other operators to receive work assignments technical support and maintain proper information flow among entire plant team.
- Generate daily weekly and monthly reports and maintenance logs.
- Provide scheduled and emergency unscheduled equipment maintenance to maximize uptime.
- Operate CHP trigeneration power plant under varying conditions.
- Ensure plant cleanliness and uphold confidentiality standards.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 13 years of handson experience and factory certification from a major industrial manufacturer.
- Factorytrained and certified technician by a major reciprocating engine manufacturer (GE Jenbacher Caterpillar Waukesha Wartsila etc. is a PLUS!
- Familiarity with low voltage electrical distribution and production systems.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Understanding of basic engine and generator theory.
- Experience with cogeneration and heatpower systems.
- Experience with SCR catalyst welding and urea dosing systems.
- Experience working with Wonderware HMI interface and/or Allen Bradley PLC systems.
Exposure to outdoor elements high noise levels hazardous electrical thermal and chemical conditions. Potential exposure to powerful electromagnetic fields which may affect pacemakers.
