Job Description
Tower Engineering Professionals (TEP)is seeking a fulltimePermitting Specialistin Charlotte N.C. As a Permitting Specialist you will serve as an integral member of our Site Acquisition and Permitting Division. Job Description:
Permitting Specialist facilitates the submittal of permit applications and required documentation to obtain zoning building and electrical permit approvals from local jurisdictions for wireless projects.
Typical Duties:
- Complete permit applications and submittal packages
- Contact local jurisdictions to determine permitting and submittal requirements
- Track tasks in a Salesforce project tracker and spreadsheets
- Provide regular updates to project manager and attend regular update calls/meetings as required
- Navigate file systems and project folders to locate documents needed for permit submittals
- Creating deliverable memos to upload to client systems
- Work with internal or external engineering firms to request changes to engineering documents pertinent to the permitting process
- Handle emails as quickly and effectively as possible
Essential Abilities and Traits:
- Teachable spirit and a positive team player attitude
- Ability to timely analyze and solve problems with little intervention
- Strong technical written and verbal communication skills
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Products (Excel & Word mainly)
- Effectively communicate with Project & Division Managers on a regular basis
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings or the willingness and ability to learn
