About the Role:We are seeking a highly experienced and detailoriented Director of Preconstruction to lead our estimating team and oversee purchasing for largescale construction projects. This role is for someone with deep expertise in construction drawings strong leadership skills and the ability to manage complex project budgets procurement and buyouts.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee & lead the estimating department ensuring accuracy in cost estimation and procurement.
Manage centralized purchasing ensuring materials are sourced within budget.
Review bids compile leveling sheets and finalize vendor selections.
Analyze construction drawings to assess scope and ensure precise budgeting.
Create and manage GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) documents.
Support junior estimators in writing proposals and improving their skills.
Work closely with project managers to ensure alignment between estimates and .
Handle multiple projects simultaneously requiring strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Deep expertise in construction drawings must fully understand project scope.
Highly detailoriented with a strong focus on accuracy in cost estimation.
Strong multitasking abilities ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams and vendors.
Proactive leadership approach must be involved ask questions and ensure processes run smoothly.
