2025 Summer Teen Employment Program (S.T.E.P.
City of Greeley
May 28 Augustweek program)
OBJECTIVE:This program enables youth to develop a foundation in seeking applying and obtaining employment. It also provides youth with acceptance of the responsibilities of employment.
NOTE: Youth MUST be enrolled in high school between the ages of 1415 as of May 13 2025 AND a City of Greeley resident to be able to participate in the S.T.E.P. program.
Pay will be $14.81 perhour.
Position Available
Island Grove:
All outdoor work centered around grounds maintenance activities in Island Grove Park and Island Grove arena.

Parks and Ballfields:
All outdoor work centered around grounds maintenance activities in park areas and athletic fields.

Public Art and Festivals:
This position will be a combination of office and event work within festivals and public art. Office work could include but not be limited to answering phones spreadsheets emailing vendors and organizing supplies. Location of work indoor and outdoor with public art maintenance and event support.

Cemetery:
All outdoor work centered around grounds maintenance activities in Linn Grove Cemetery as well as assisting in the office periodically with light office duties.

Golf:
The position will involve keeping the maintenance shop clean and swept. The candidate will also make sure the clubhouse area and parking lot are free from trash and weeds. The flower beds will be watered and weeded. Other duties will include repairing ball marks on greens filling divots on tee boxes and driving range.

Natural Areas and Trails :
Are you thinking of a career that encompasses the natural world This position will assist Natural Areas & Trails staff with all aspects of natural areas management and communication. Tasks may include gathering site information in designated natural areas such as documenting plants and animals at the site recreation activity on site helping with basic site maintenance including nonchemical control site cleanup tasks and writing website and social media content. Associated activities may include writing research photography GIS mapping report preparation public meeting participation and other similar activities.

Aquatics:
Do you enjoy working in an aquatic environment This position assists with the daily operations of a pool and providing a safe environment. Job duties include assisting with swimming lessons facility maintenance and pool cleanliness. Assist pool managers and Recreation Supervisor with other duties as assigned. Must be able to rotate morning and afternoon shifts.

Family FunPlex:
Do you enjoy working in customer service This position assists the Guest Service Staff with event setup minigolf operations and dropin programming. This position also assists with the cleanliness of the facility.

Enjoy working with children This position assists the childcare staff with craft and activity setup and supervision of young children. This position also assists with the cleanliness of the childcare area.

Ice Haus:
Enjoy working with people Assist staff with front desk duties such as handing out and putting away skates in skate rental skate guarding and concessions and help maintain the facility clean. Must be able to skate to skate guard.

Recreation Center:
This position is a great introduction into customer service! You will assist staff with the daily facility operations including greeting and assisting members and guests conducting facility tours selling memberships and enrolling participants into programs.

Rodarte Community Center and Anna Gimmestad Community Center:
Would you enjoy working with youth between the ages of 513 years old at the Rodarte Community Center and Anna Gimmestad Community Center This job includes assisting staff with daily programming setting up activities supervising participants and other duties as assigned. Must be able to swim.

Youth Sports:
Enjoy working with children ages 512 and helping them develop through sports Assist staff with sports clinics camps and summer leagues and other duties as assigned. Programs will take place at various Greeley recreation facilities and local sports parks. Shifts will vary but can guarantee 10 hours per week (dependent on individuals availability).

Adaptive/Inclusive Recreation:
Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation helps people with disabilities find a place and participate in Greeley Recreation activities. This position will work with a variety of people and ability levels. Tasks will include helping in sports clinics craft classes and games nights. You will get to work on leadership skills and develop skills in adaptability. This position may help with preparing for summer events.

Greeley Evans Transit:
Want to make a difference in you community Assist staff at front desk with facetoface interaction selling bus tickets and bus passes. Assist scheduling team with answering phones and booking trips on Paratransit and CallNRide Services on computerized Computer Aided Dispatch program. Interacting with riders on the buses filling ut questionnaires and surveys.

Greeley Fire Department:
Firefighters do more than just fight fires! Come get a glimpse at some of the other responsibilities the fire department has within the community. Tasks and duties range from document organization building/site cleanup as well as various other fire safety prevention and educational/training needs.
