Job Description
- Shift: 12hr Nights
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $1872 $2016
- Provide direct patient care in a stepdown unit managing patients with arterial lines medicalsurgical level care and vascular surgeries.
- Assess plan implement and evaluate nursing care based on patient conditions.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition complications or signs of deterioration and intervene accordingly.
- Administer medications IV fluids and blood products per provider orders.
- Assist with surgical recovery and postoperative care in trauma neuro ENT general surgery urosurgery plastic surgery and bariatric cases.
- Perform and document accurate patient assessments vital signs and progress notes.
- Collaborate with physicians specialists and allied healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
- Active RN license in the state of New York.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required).
- AHA National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification (required).
- Minimum 12 years of recent Step Down/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fastpaced highacuity setting.
- Candidates outside a 75mile radius qualify for travel pay.
