Group Operations Technical Manager
My client is seeking a Group Operations Technical Manager to oversee all aspects of the Technical and Quality function within the organization. Reporting to the Operations Director you will also be responsible for implementing strategic projects as required by the Board. You will serve as the main point of contact for all internal and external communications related to technical and quality matters. Your primary goal is to ensure all sites meet their food safety legal and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to the latest legislative thirdparty and customer requirements across all sites.
- Manage the Group Technical & Quality team to meet business needs from a technical and quality perspective.
- Act as the main point of contact for all technical and qualityrelated matters both internally and externally.
- Support sites to maintain the highest possible grade during internal and external audits.
- Report performance against both internal and external KPIs.
- Contribute to formulating and implementing Group strategy as part of the senior management team.
- Implement and adhere to strategic requirements.
- Embed a continuous improvement ethos into the technical and quality department.
- Liaise with competent authorities as required in GB NI and ROI.
- Extensive travel throughout the Group and customer base.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Be dynamic and flexible with strong interpersonal organizational and communication skills.
- Be a natural leader analytical thinker with resourcemanagement skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Have a detailed understanding of critical success factors in a fastmoving business environment.
- Have at least 5 years of experience in a Senior Technical role ideally within the red meat sector (highly desirable but not essential).
