What we are looking for:
Accounting Specialist
Education/Certification
- Minimum of a BA/BS in Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field and
- 1 year of accounting related experience preferred
Requirements
- Detail oriented
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to multitask
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excell and other Microsoft Office Products
- Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint and willingness to learn more
- Demonstrate the ability to identify issues and apply accounting principles and procedures and
- Comply with firm practice management quality control procedures and confidentiality requirements
Responsibilities:
- Review analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and interpret variances
- Assist with yearend financials
- Resolve accounting discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Maintain required records reports and files
- Monitor and review bank statements and prepare bank reconciliations monthly
- Prepare and review invoices
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Maintain detailed and accurate spreadsheets for applicable assigned tasks and
- Assist with accounting related tasks as they are assigned
