About Us
Crowds gather at urbanbelly for a taste of Chef Bill Kims original and playful take on dumplings rice and noodle bowls with an emphasis on bold flavors and local ingredients. Dont be surprised to see our awardwinning chef working the line or the dining room.
Line Cook Responsibilities
- Perform many basic tasks of food preparation and organization in the kitchen and kiosk.
- Effectively communicate with other members of the Urbanbelly staff front of house and back of house.
- Report to duty punctually wearing the correct uniform.
- Run the line during the service ensuring that the highest standards are met and that communication between all sections and restaurant departments is efficient and polite.
- Produce menu items for service maintaining high standards to achieve the correct quality appearance and portion size.
- Monitor the quality and presentation of dishes so that only those which meet our high standard are served to our guests.
- Ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained by following cleaning routines and through ongoing diligence during the shift and in setup and clean down procedures.
- Observe the companys fire plan and health safety policy.
- Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment including knives.

- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid food handler cerfification required.
- A high school education or equivalent.
- Read write speak and understand English comprehensively.
- Basic math skills and understand basic measurements.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
- Frequent long periods of standing and walking are expected during the workday.
- Ability to reach for objects and stoop or bend as needed to perform job duties.
- Ability to deal with guests in a professional manner while maintaining a composed demeanor in high stress situations.
- This position may involve visual and auditory tasks including the ability to see and hear adequately to perform job functions.
