MUST reside in Washington DC metro area
Titan Technologies LLC (Titan) is seeking an experienced Cloud Database Specialist to lead the design development and management of cloudbased data infrastructures supporting enterprisescale IT operations. This position plays a critical role in shaping and sustaining secure scalable and interoperable data architecture across dynamic cloud environments. The specialist will work closely with IT stakeholders architects and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of diverse data sources enabling advanced analytics reporting and operational decisionmaking. This position is remote however you MUST reside in Washington DC metro area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and optimize secure cloud database solutions across multicloud and hybrid environments ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Architect robust data storage and retrieval models that support structured and unstructured data types enhancing analytics reporting and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with DevOps application and infrastructure teams to align database strategies with broader enterprise architecture and cloud modernization goals.
- Define and maintain standards for data interoperability and integration across distributed systems and thirdparty platforms.
- Establish and manage data lifecycle policies ensuring data governance integrity and compliance with federal security and privacy mandates.
- Lead migration strategies for legacy databases to modern cloudnative platforms while minimizing downtime and ensuring data fidelity.
- Provide expertlevel troubleshooting and performance tuning of cloudhosted databases such as Oracle PostgreSQL MySQL and NoSQL platforms.
- Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for database provisioning backup and disaster recovery.
- Stay current on emerging cloud data technologies and provide strategic recommendations to enhance datadriven capabilities.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7 years of progressive experience in cloudbased database architecture design and administration.
- Demonstrated expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and tools.
- Handson experience with cloudnative and hybrid data architecture design.
- Strong knowledge of database security encryption and compliance requirements in federal environments.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. Terraform Ansible Python Bash).
- Deep understanding of relational and nonrelational database systems.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a strategic mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting largescale government or missioncritical enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and integrating databases into CI/CD workflows.
- Knowledge of advanced analytics tools and data visualization platforms.
Education/Training Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect Certification
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Implementation Specialist Certification
