PURPOSE
The OCCI Program Manager serves the primary point of communication within the Oregon Coast Culinary Institute (OCCI). This position is responsible for overseeing department operations managing student services coordinating internal and external events and maintaining industry partnerships. The role requires independent decisionmaking policy implementation and supervisory responsibilities including acting as the department manager in the absence of the Executive Director.

Leadership & Administration (approx. 50 of Time)
Communicate OCCI program requirements to students and assess students for applicable barriers to educational success (e.g. housing transportation childcare financial aid) and link them to appropriate internal and external resources.
Manages partnerships with industry partners such as restaurants resorts and hospitality organizations. Maintain relationships with these establishments in order to facilitate externships andcareer pathways for students.
Work with the Office of Instruction to ensure general education courses are scheduled to ensure students can stay on path during their program.
Oversee the department in the absence of the executive director.
Student Services & Industry Partnerships (approx. 30 of Time)
Act as a liaison between students and various institutional departments to facilitate seamless student support services including academic advising financial aid and career services.
Oversee the externship placement process ensuring alignment with academic objectives and industry standards.
Provide professional development and career coaching for students supporting their transition from education to employment.
Recruitment & Community Engagement (approx. 20 of Time)
Collaborate with the admissions and marketing teams to develop recruitment strategies and enhance program visibility.
Represent OCCI at recruitment events industry conferences and community engagements to promote the institution and attract prospective students.
Deliver presentations and informational sessions to prospective students parents and industry stakeholders to increase awareness and enrollment in OCCI programs.
Performs Other Duties and Special Projects as Required/Assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Hospitality Management Education or a related field.
OR
Associates Degree with five 5 years of progressively responsible experience in education administration hospitality management or operations.
Minimum of three 3 years of experience in a leadership role with demonstrated responsibility for budgeting policy implementation and supervisory oversight.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OR LICENSES
Ability to obtain ServSafe or Oregon Food Handlers card and OLCC permit within six 6 months of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants for this position possessing one or more of the following knowledge skills and abilities with receive preferred consideration through the selection process.
Masters degree in Business Administration Hospitality or a related field.
Five 5 or more years of experience in event management program coordination or business operations.
Experience in a public institution with knowledge of integrated system software programs.
