Other Conditions: For placement in lecturer pool beginning Fall 2024 Spring 2025 and Summer 2025. Positions are parttime temporary nontenure and contingent upon course offerings sufficient student enrollment position clearance and availability of funding. May be for courses during the day evening and/or via distance learning as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Teach lecture and laboratory courses in Introductory Chemistry General chemistry and Organic Chemistry.
2. Other chemistry courses may be assigned as needed by the Department of Chemistry.
3. Maintain minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Masters degree or equivalent in Chemistry Biochemistry or related field from an accredited college or university (degree fully completed at time of application) or any combination of education/training/experience that equates to this credential for purposes of providing instruction in Chemistry.
2. Evidence of satisfactory teaching ability.

Desirable Qualifications

1. Demonstrated highquality teaching in a multicultural setting.
2. Collegelevel chemistry teaching experience beyond the teaching assistant level.
3. Demonstrated ability to teach lecture and laboratory courses in areas such as organic chemistry biochemistry physical chemistry inorganic chemistry analytical chemistry or environmental chemistry.
