Job Description

ActiKare Responsive In Home Care provides exceptional one on one senior home care across King County Pierce County andSnohomish County. Come be a part of our exceptional team.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly responsive and dependable Lead Caregiver to provide immediate care coverage and support quality assurance efforts. The ideal candidate must be fully available for immediate dispatch during core hours with the ability to respond to calls and leave for assignments without delay. Guaranteed up to 25 hours/ week depending on your availability.

Although this position is listed in Kenmore it is a field position and may need to travel throughout King Pierce and Snohomish County.

This position will work as an On Call caregiver to fill in for caregiver call outs at a moments notice they will work as a Floatergoing to new clients and starting care as we work to staff with a permanent caregiver and will work as a Lead Caregiver in the field helping toperform meet and greets in clients homes and do in field observations.

Requirements

  • Full availability during core hours: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at least 3 days per week of availability.
  • Must be able to respond immediately to calls and leave for assignments without delay during core hours
  • Must have reliable transportation and car insurance and be able to drive 1040 miles per day (varies)
  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Licensed HCA or CNA Caregiver
  • High level of communication skills and a comfort level with a wide variety of clients desired.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain constant readiness to respond to callins during core hours
  2. Conduct client quality visits to ensure high standards of care
  3. Provide immediate coverage for regular caregivers when called upon
  4. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing dressing companionship meals mobility etc.
  5. Travel to various client locations throughout the day
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their families
  7. Perform in field caregiver observations
  8. Document the days events

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Care Aide (HCA) certification required
  • Extensive caregiving experience preferably in a home care setting
  • Valid drivers license and reliable insured vehicle
  • Willingness and ability to drive up to 40 miles per day (typical range is 1020 miles)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to assist clients with mobility
  • Ability to remain oncall and respond immediately during core hours
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Exceptional reliability and punctuality
  • Demonstrated ability to work with all types of clients
  • Strong relationshipbuilding and quality assurance skills
