This is a Stanford Health Care job.

A Brief Overview
Takes on the daytoday management of the Demand Planning team for Stanford Health Care Supply Chain in support of the Demand Planning Leader. Leads and develops the team to support the programs that support the availability of products for Stanford Medicine. Applies a comprehensive understanding of Demand Planning functions/concepts Supply Chain Logistics and Sourcing business and operational needs and industry data standards. Leads various demand planning initiatives. Oversee a team of demand planning analyst by assessing the work product coaching and leading and developing timely and accurate forecasts of the supplies for vendor direct and distributor supplies to minimize the impact of supply disruptions and defects that occur.

What you will do
  • Under the direction of the Demand Planning Leader daytoday activities and priorities are based on collaboration with the Supply Chain leaders. These include:
  • Ensure the applicability and accuracy of the forecasting models
  • Work proactively with Business Intelligence & Analytics Resiliency Logistics Category Management Purchasing Clinicians/other stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure demand planning functions of the organization are updated and maintained.
  • Document manage and update all demand planning programs (e.g. rejections fill/kills autosub models) and processes that ensures product availability and minimizes impact of defects
  • Conduct quality control activities and recommend and/or implement additions/changes to demand planning policies and procedures.
  • Develop and design improvements to the processes procedures tools rules and metrics
  • Function as the primary point of contact related to projects assigned to the team and oversees analyst team by triaging work assigning tasks and tracking progress
  • Manage and ensure resolution of daily escalations exceptions and completion of standard work
  • Participate actively in daily weekly and monthly meetings related to demand planning supply chain operations and other applicable stakeholder groups
  • Proactively manage and communicate issues needs achievements to their manager to ensure ongoing operations are seamlessly maintained
  • Understand and contribute to the strategic direction set by senior leadership as it relates to team goals
  • Coach and guide the demand planning team on supply chain concepts and the methodology

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Data Analytics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or other related field from an accredited college or university or comparable work experience in this field.

Experience Qualifications
  • Any combination of education and experience to ensure at least 5 years of increasing responsibility and comprehensive expertise in implementing industry best practice for data management and governance

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows Outlook Excel Word and PowerPoint required
  • Knowledge of ERP (Lawson or Workday)
  • Proficient in Tableau
  • Proficient in forecasting models and other demand planning tools and concepts
  • Knowledge of the principles practices and technologies of Supply Chain especially as they relate to supply logistics and distribution in a healthcare/hospital environment
  • Ability to facilitate large and small groups through problem definition hypothesis analysis current state and future state; to direct the development of clear and actionable implementation plans; as well as oversee project progression thru successful
  • Knowledge of the medical/surgical supplies and equipment
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of Lean Training and how to incorporate/apply them to Supply Chain in an everyday healthcare setting
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various supply chain functions processes and systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management processes and systems and experience with managing mediumsize crossfunctional data or process improvement projects

Licenses and Certifications
  • CMRP Certified Materials & Resource Professional preferred . or
  • CPSM Certified Professional in Supply Management preferred .

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $51.15 $67.78 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity experience education specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
