As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms Workforce Technology team you will be a key member of an agile team responsible for designing and delivering trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable manner. Your role will involve implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions all in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Design technical solutions with JPMCs cloud platform by coordinating with JPMC central public cloud architecture team to meet theproduct requirements.
- Design and develop scalable and resilient systems and contribute to continual iterative improvements for product teams.
- Execute software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting.
- Develop debug and maintain code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
- Create internal Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure using JPMCs public cloud terraform modules.
- Perform regular code reviews developed by the team members. Coordinate application testing and signoff.
- Deploy the AWS Services and code migrations using JPMC automated pattern build by coordinating with central implementation team.
- Provide expert product support on all implementations for JPMCs cloud automation systems.
- Executes software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and highquality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and5 years applied experience
- Skills & experience required in Linux/Unix;Agile; Data Architecture Disciplines; Infrastructure Architecture Disciplines for AWS (Excluding Google and Microsoft); Microservices; Apache Kafka; NodeJS; Java; Python; Scala; SQL; XML; REST; SOAP; JSON; Kubernetes;Terraform;AWS Cloud Services; AWS Glue; MongoDB; Oracle; DB2;MySQL; Postgre; Autosys;Shell Script; PLSQL;Apache Spark; Splunk; PySpark programming; JUnit; Analytical tools; QuickSight; Tableau; Alteryx.
- Handson practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages
- Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Applicant Resiliency and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- AWS Architect or Developer certification
- Terraform certification
- Any other data or analytics platform certification
