Background:

Capability Clinical Services provides professional client centred trauma informed and compassionate support for children young people and adults. Capability Clinical Services is provies a range of clinical services including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) face to face and telehealth counselling biopsychosocial assessments carers support and training in trauma informed care for care teams. Capability Clinical services is part of the larger Capability Support team.

Capability Support was established in 2023 with the simple belief that We can do better for the community through providing personalised flexible professional and easytoaccess supports.

Capabilitys vision is to provide personalised flexible and professional supports through the provision of More Support Less Admin and delivering high quality customised and easyto access supports.

The role:

We are looking for mental health clinicians (psychologist provisional psychologists social workers and counsellors) and Behaviour Support Practitioners (both registered with NDIS and not registered) who are dedicated to making a difference in peoples lives through the provision of Behaviour Support and direct Clinical Services.

Working under our Director of Clinical Services and within the Capability Clinical Governance Framework you will deliver personalised flexible and professional clinical supports to Children Young People Adults Families and care teams as well as supporting the development of Positive Behaviour Support Plans.

You will operate in a diverse environment visiting people at their homes working in schools or working out of our offices in Canberra City with welcoming clinical rooms set up to provide direct therapy to clients.

The responsibilities:

As a clinician with Capability youll be afforded a diverse client load within different funding streams such as statutory funding NDIS funding and private funding options. You will work with the Director of Clinical Services to maintain a diverse but viable caseload to allow for further development and high quality supports.

• Provide direct traumainformed clinical support to Children Young People Families and Adults
• Complete comprehensive clinical notes and documentation for clients receiving clinical services
• Lead hold and participate in reflective practices
• Identify and develop support strategies for clients to increase their capabilities and improve their quality of life.
• Complete comprehensive Functional Behavioural Assessments and develop high quality Behaviour Support Plans
• Ensure all records are kept to a high standard and uphold client confidentiality
• Ensure supports are delivered in accordance with Capability Clinical Framework
• Responsible for reduction and elimination of Restrictive Practices as well as the approval of Positive Behaviour Support Plans through the ACT Senior Practitioner.
• Work with the Director of Clinical Services to continue to develop quality based and clinical based governance frameworks and principles.

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy Social Work Counselling or Psychology
• Registration with AHPRA or relevant professional body.
• Demonstrated experience working in a clinical environment preferably with direct clinical experience and/or NDIS Behaviour Support experience.
• Experience in functional behavioural assessment and behaviour support plan development
• Current NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner registration (or willingness to undertake one)
• Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration (or ability to obtain one) with NDIS Screening (or ability to obtain)
• Valid police check (or willingness to undertake one)
• Eligible to undertake a CYPS Suitability Clearance.
• Drivers license / comprehensive car insurance / available & registered vehicle
