Columbus School for Girls has an immediate opening for an energetic and creative Communications Coordinator to join our fastmoving team.

The Communications Coordinator will play a key role in writing and shaping the schools messaging across multiple platforms ensuring a consistent and compelling tone that resonates with our community.

Major Responsibilities:
- Editorial Voice & Copywriting: Establish and maintain a clear engaging and inspiring voice for the school across all written materials.
- Press Releases & Articles: Draft press releases write blog articles and serve as writer and editorinchief for the schools biannual magazine.
- Social Media & Digital Content: Develop written content for social media posts and other digital platforms that align with the schools tone and messaging.
- Weekly Newsletter: Manage write and edit content for the schools weekly newsletter ensuring it remains informative and engaging.
- Speechwriting & Script Development: Write speeches and develop scripts for school programs ensuring messaging aligns with the schools values and goals.
- Flexibility & Adaptability: Handle a fastpaced evolving workload with shifting priorities often managing lastminute projects with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Communications Marketing Journalism English or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail. AP style preferred but not required.
- A desire to learn take initiative and contribute as part of a dynamic team.
- Ability to adjust to lastminute projects and shifting deadlines with enthusiasm.
- Experience with content creation social media management and press release writing preferred
- Proficiency in Google Suite; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools (Canva Adobe Express etc. is a plus.
- Experience with graphic design a plus.
- Portfolio of work samples made available upon request.
