RFQ are currently recruiting for a casual Support Worker to join our team based in Southport.
The Support Worker will join the NDIS Core support team to deliver community outreach and individualised core and capacity support services for Richmond Fellowship Queensland (RFQ) National Disability Insurance Scheme participants with a mental health diagnosis. This includes but is not limited to supporting NDIS clients to work towards their specified goals and assist with communication and providing support to attend medical appointments NDIS reviews community activities and daily tasks of daily living.
No day is the same but may include:
- Providing clients with identified support with daytoday tasks and activities in accordance with the published roster.
- Assisting clients to achieve their identified goals and aspirations providing support with daytoday tasks and activities.
- Undertaking duties in accordance with the published roster and in response to direction from Line Supervisors.
You will need:
- A Diploma or Certificate IV in a human servicerelated field or less formal qualifications with demonstrated previous experience working with people with mental illness.
- Hold a positive NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
- Valid drivers license and access to a registered roadworthy and insured vehicle (minimum thirdparty property).
- A positive attitude towards those who are marginalised and disadvantaged living with mental health challenges.
- Ability to work flexibly and well within a team.
- A strong sense of professional boundaries and integrity.
- Access to a smart phone to be used for work purposes.
- Availability to work on the weekend.
- Effective communication skills.
