The Role:
This is a fulltime position working an average of 45 hours per week 5 days over 7 to include weekends and public holidays.
Main Duties:
- The Operations Manager will be fully responsible for the daytoday operations of this busy 66bedroom property and a team of 45 staff.
- Work in conjunction with the Hotel Operations Director on setting annual budget and target proposals for the property.
- Working closely with the Hotel Operations Director on the strategy planning for the hotel.
- Working with the hotels Management Team in ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Work in conjunction with managers and HOD s in all aspects of the property s agenda.
- Management of a team of up to 3540 people on busy shifts.
- Having a handson approach to the role.
- Driving sales/sales initiatives within the property in conjunction the property s sales team and the groups Sales & Marketing Manager.
- Coordinating the Health & Safety agenda in the property.
- Working with the senior team in setting and driving team objectives through agenda meetings and training and development.
- The management/facilitation of biweekly sales HOD and Food & Beverage Meetings as well as daily planning meetings.
- Working with the management team in relation to the properties HACCP plan.
- Ensuring excellent service is provided to all guests/visitors to the property.
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years experience in a Senior Operations Manager or Hotel Manager role within a busy 3 or 4 hotel**.
Proven expertise across all hotel departments with a strong focus on Food & Beverage and Sales & Events.
Demonstrated ability to drive results meet performance targets and implement effective operational strategies.
Strong track record in staff training development and performance management at both team and HOD level.
Indepth knowledge and handson experience with front office and property management systems.
Sound understanding of hotel financials including budgets KPIs and P&L reporting.
Exceptional leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organised selfmotivated and capable of working independently or collaboratively.
Fluent in English both spoken and written.
