Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Vocational Specialist to join our team in the health and safety industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing vocational support and guidance to individuals with disabilities or injuries helping them to reenter the workforce and achieve their vocational goals.
Skills:
Strong communication skills
Ability to assess individual needs and develop tailored vocational plans
Knowledge of disability employment services and resources
Experience working with diverse populations
Excellent organizational skills
Responsibilities:
Conduct vocational assessments to determine individual strengths abilities and interests
Develop personalized vocational plans that align with each individuals goals
Provide ongoing support and guidance throughout the job search process
Collaborate with employers to identify suitable job opportunities for clients
Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure successful outcomes
Qualifications:
Relevant experience or qualifications in Community Services
Previous experience working in disability employment services or a similar role preferred
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations pertaining to disability employment
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
