Job Description

Job Overview:

At PREMO Group we design custom solutions for smart car access systems using the latest technologies. We are looking for an Embedded Software Lead Engineer responsible for leading the design development and testing of software for NFC/Touch ECUs in vehicles. The role requires strong technical expertise software architecture code reviews and best practices while ensuring alignment with project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Responsibilities:

  • Define technical architecture for ECU software including module design communication protocols and memory management.
  • Lead the development process and make technical decisions to align with project goals.
  • Conduct code reviews mentor engineers and implement best practices in software development.
  • Develop unit integration and systemlevel test plans for ECU software validation.
  • Collaborate with electronics engineers for hardwareinloop (HIL) simulations and vehicle testing.
  • Identify troubleshoot and resolve software defects coordinating bug fixes and regression testing.
  • Convert system requirements into detailed software specifications for ECU functionality.
  • Ensure technical discussions with suppliers and teams align with ECU development needs.

2. Leadership & Project Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daytoday of tasks and projects.
  • Provide technical guidance to maintain highquality software development.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies ISO/IATF standards and regulations.
  • Train and support team members to enhance professional and technical skills.
  • Identify process improvements and support their implementation.
  • Report weekly progress on software quality bug resolution and project timelines.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Electronics Engineering Embedded Software or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 8 years of experience in embedded software development for automotive applications.
  • 23 years of team & project management experience.

Key Competencies & Skills:

Technical Competencies:

  • Programming: Proficiency in C/C and realtime operating systems.
  • AUTOSAR and NonAUTOSAR structured software development.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN LIN Ethernet).
  • Experience in microcontrollerbased software development for NFC and CAPA touch sensors.
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and safetycritical software development (ASPICE ASIL ISO26262 MISRA C).
  • Project management in an Agile environment using tools like Jira & Confluence.

Soft Skills & Leadership Qualities:

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proactive disciplined and detailoriented approach.
  • Selflearning designthinking and innovation mindset.
  • Ability to negotiate manage conflicts and lead discussions with customers and suppliers.

Performance KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):

  • Code Review: Ensure 100 of code undergoes peer review with less than 5 rejections.
  • Software Quality: Maintain 95 defectfree software deliveries.
  • Project Timeline: Achieve 90 ontime software releases.
