Job Description

TO: All Paraprofessional and MTA Personnel Brockton Public SchoolsFROM: Dr. Kathleen F. Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSUBJECT: SUPPORT STAFF MIDDLE SCHOOL and HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER SCHOOL 2025Support Staff are needed to work AT Brockton High School for the Academic Summer Programs High School Summer School and Rising 9th Humanities and STEM Camp. Positions are contingent upon funding and adequate student enrollment.Both programs will run from June 30th through July 31st with the exception of July 3rd and 4th .All support staff positions begin 15 minutes before the start of the program and end 15 minutes after the program closure unless otherwise stated at the point of hire.The programs and job related work hours are as follows:1.Humanities and STEM Camp (grade 8 8:15 12:152.Summer School (grades 912 7:15 11:45 There will be a required paid training session for these positions on a date to be determined prior to the start of the program.QUALIFICATIONS:1.Experience working with students and other staff members2.Strong organizational skills3.Prior experience working in the summer academic enrichment/remediation program is preferred4.Must commit to work the entire length of the program and attend trainingDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Support teaching and enrichment staff2.Colead and/or lead enrichment activities3.Attend and fully participate in all activities4.Attend paid professional development training sessions5.Support youth in a positive and constructive manner6.Proactively manage classroom behavior7.Other duties as directed by the instructor and/or program supervisorsCompensation: $27.00/hour Funding source: Local
