Job Description :

Introduction:
Creative thinker with an emphasis on visual expression. Superior comping skills. Able to create layouts and compositions based on existing design parameters. Not client facing. Works under limited direction of ACD or higher. Expected to execute overarching creative campaign ideas as well as to round out campaigns originated by other teams.

The Visualizer is responsible for of creative concepts and building layouts while working within media production specifications and client brand guidelines in the of omnichannel marketing tactics. The Art Director may also be called upon to ideate and execute de novo creations as well. The role is for experienced creative individuals who have exceptional design and production skills and can implement them across all media channels. The Art Director is able to seamlessly switch gears between design and production in channels such as print digital presentation branding and motion disciplines.

  • Creativity:

    • Executes layouts based on creative briefing brand guidelines and or art direction.

    • Ability to translate layout and design across media and can bring ideas to life.

    • Art and design centric thinking with a passion for health and wellness and the science behind it.

  • Design skills:

    • Excellent design and creative skills including an overall aptitude for visual communications through typography color photography graphic and art elements.

    • Commanding knowledge of print digital/interactive design retouching and motion design.

    • Basic understanding of UUX/UI design concepts.

  • Branding knowledge:

    • Ability to design materials true to the brand identity of product and style guidelines set.

    • Follows branding guidelines to deliver ancillary pieces based on creative instruction and marketing need.

  • Project and Agency Goals:

    • Ensure work is in line with the goals of the project and that client needs are met.

    • Adheres to and monitors agency guidelines related to file naming file and folder management file preparation and builds and backup/archiving.

  • Production Skills:

    • Able to seamlessly switch gears between design and production.

    • Familiar with production concepts such as layer comps iOS platform desktop applications mobile and emails and has knowledge of production requirements for all medium (print design web design and motion design).

    • Makes corrections to layouts (art and copy) as indicated by brand team or client. Reviews corrected pages for accuracy and completeness of corrections.

    • Collaborates with Art Directors during preliminary/concepting stages of work to provide composite artwork utilizing Photoshop and/or Illustrator or other current software. May also assist in creating or editing charts graphs logos etc.

  • Leadership and Experience:

    • Is a proponent for new efficiencies and techniques

    • Assists in training freelancers and new employees

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Open communication with supervisor to share progress of work and design and communicates with art team.

    • Is proactive in finding solutions for the project.

    • Knowledge of agency functions or applicability of experience previous design experience in digital and print.

    • Excellent time management skills Manages time wisely across jobs meets agreed upon deadlines and is accountable and responsible for their work.

Background/experience and skills

  • BA of BFA degree in graphic design interactive design advertising or another designrelated program

  • 25 years of experience

  • Pharmaceutical advertising agency experience a plus

  • Must be able to work flexible hours when needed.

  • Quick and proficient Macintosh skills on digital production software including Adobe CC (Illustrator Photoshop InDesign XD) Adobe Acrobat Sketch Figma PreFlight software.

  • Knowledge of Macintosh operating system

  • Crossplatform knowledge and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint Word Excel)

  • Ability to conceive 3dimensionally and ability to illustrate a plus.

  • Deadline driven detail oriented and organized.
