Position Summary: The Grant Strategy and Project Manager drives the grant prospecting process with urgency creativity and discipline. This role identifies and secures new revenue through grants collaborating with teams across UWM (Grants Donor Engagement Finance Analytics and Programming) to develop strategies and submit compelling proposals. The manager ensures funding requests are strategic wellsupported and aligned with UWMs mission and impact areas. This role focuses on keeping projects on track solving problems and creating urgency to expand UWMs impact.
Responsibilities: - Researches and identifies potential grant opportunities aligned with the organizations mission bringing creativity and urgency to maintain an active roster of prospects with a goal of submitting at least three new proposals per month.
- Develops and manages highquality grant proposals budgets and narratives in collaboration with team members.
- Compiles and submits grantrelated data and reports in coordination with finance and data teams.
- Cultivates and maintains relationships with funders program officers and stakeholders to enhance funding opportunities.
- Coordinates and aligns grantseeking efforts across departments to maximize efficiency and avoid duplication.
- Facilitates and leads grant meetings providing researchbased insights and ensuring team alignment on opportunities.
- Reviews and provides constructive feedback on grant proposals while being open to input on your own work.
- Tracks and maintains the integrity of the grants pipeline ensuring accurate and uptodate data for leadership review.
- Monitors and evaluates grantseeking effectiveness tracking key metrics and reporting on funding outcomes.
- Maintains a deep understanding of program needs and data to develop compelling wellsupported grant arguments with clear goals.
- Drive revenue through grant proposalswith performance based on funds secured proposal success rate team collaboration and funder relationships while managing the pipeline and ensuring timely administrative tasks and reporting.
- Manage UWMs grant portfoliowith the existing grant manager collaborate with the donor engagement team to identify new prospects and work with the grant accountant and Grant Strategy and Prospect Manager for financial reporting and strategic planning.
Supervisory Responsibilities: - Builds leads and mentors a team of fundraising volunteer and marketing professionals both internal and external.
- Interviews hires and trains staff in the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations.
Required Skills and Abilities: - Highly organized and detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Proven experience in grant writing and management with a track record of successful grant awards.
- Demonstrated experience and success with federal state and other government proposals and reporting.
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles and best practices particularly in the context of grant funding.
- Excellent research writing and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with grant management software and databases is a plus.
- Knowledge of MS Office Outlook Excel Access and Word Processing software.

Education and Experience: - Bachelors degree (required) Masters degree (preferred) from a fouryear accredited college or university.
- A minimum of 5 years in the nonprofit sector.
Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
