Job Description

Senior Smart Home Engineer with Expertise in Beacon and Wearable Technologies
Position: FullTime Salaried OnSite/InOffice

We specialize in developing smart home solutions that enhance comfort safety and sustainability. Our mission is to create assistive technology to improve the independence and safety of aging adults. iLink integrates smart home assistive living and wearable technologies into its cloud software platform that connects remote support professionals to help people live with greater independence.
We are seeking a highly skilled Smart Home Engineer with expertise in SIP smart home beacon and wearable technologies to join our dynamic R&D team. This role involves developing and implementing stateoftheart technologies to create seamless intuitive and usercentric smart home experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop systems integrating beacon and wearable technologies with home automation and IoT devices
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define product requirements and engineering specifications
  • Prototype test and refine applications and devices based on determined specifications
  • Ensure compatibility and integration of new systems with existing smart home architecture
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends technologies and best practices in smart home development
  • Document and maintain engineering documentation and system designs
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in engineering with a focus on IoT wearable technology or home automation
  • Extensive experience with SIP and smart home technology (Zigbee and ZWave)
  • Proven expertise in Bluetooth LE (BLE) beacons and wireless communication protocols
  • Experience with embedded systems design and development
  • Programming skills in Python Java and/or C
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to think analytically
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience with AI and machine learning integration in smart home contexts
  • Previous work on projects integrating multiple data sources and devices into a cohesive user experience
  • System/network administrator experience to support iLink products (Microsoft network certifications preferred)
