Description
We are looking for aRespiratory Therapistwho will provide professional respiratory therapy services to children teens and young adults. This individual is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team that serves in our inpatient services.

Schedule
- Fulltime: 6a6p 3 days per week
- Every 3rd weekend
- Flexible scheduling will consider 8 hour shifts
What Youll Do
- Within the respiratory therapy scope of practice physicians orders and the childs care plan make decisions and deliver a full range of respiratory therapy care based on the fundamentals of the respiratory therapy care.
- Maintain accurate completed and timely records as defined by respiratory therapy standards of practice and ChildServepolicies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively respectfully and professionally with children physicians families school personnel ChildServestaff and others to assure assigned childs care needs are assessed communicated and met.
- Stay current with all unit and ChildServespecific information.
- Provide respiratory and related training to children families and staff as needed to help advance the skills and knowledge of all people associated with a childs care delivery.
- Demonstrate good stewardship of ChildServeequipment supplies and environment.
What Youll Need
- Certification from an accredited respiratory therapy program and current licensure to practice in the state of Iowa.
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
- Ventilator experience
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- PALS certification encouraged.
- Experience with tracheostomy care and changes preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs be mobile within the assigned work area and frequently bend lift reach and stand.
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading writing and speaking the English language.
