1About the position:
The Quality Integrity Reliability (QIR) and Robotics Lead is part of the Materials Equipment and Quality team within Chevrons ENGINE Center and is the leader of a team of Quality Assurance Asset Integrity Reliability and Robotics Engineers with Chevron ENGINE providing engineering consulting services technology & solutions deployment support.
Key responsibilities:
Manage the performance of the team by establishing clear goals and expectations measuring progress and sharing results across Chevron ENGINE and with stakeholders across the enterprise.
Provides coaching performance feedback mentoring career development and regularly engages team to help remove barriers for the team. Ensures and provides the team has a safe & respectful work environment.
Understand the requirements and priorities from Chevon Technical Center as well as by engaging stakeholders across the business units and operating facilities and communicates work requirements and priorities to team members.
Responsible for timely delivery and quality of work products services and solutions delivered by the team.
Engages in deep technical aspects of the work when needed while also removing barriers for the team to progress work.
Leads frames and develops scope and supports executing projects/opportunities of large and complex under minimal supervision which involves one or more engineering disciplines like reliability integrity advanced NDE inspections quality assurance and robotics technologies.
Oversees the delivery of workflows covering Reliability fixed equipment & pipeline Integrity Quality Assurance advanced NDE and Robotics area by partnering with Chevron Technical Center. Implements existing Chevron processes and systems in support of required work activities
Ensure and support continuous improvement of work process procedures practices applications data and tools are effective and efficient to meet Chevron and industry requirements. Ensure lessons learned are shared and incorporated into work practices and processes
Foster an inclusive environment both within the team and with the other functions and organization in ENGINE.
Develop and deliver the teams business plan and support delivery of ENGINE MEQ Chapter business plan. Ensure team works within budget and meets business plan objectives.
Required Qualifications:
7 years of demonstrated supervisory experience within Oil & Gas or petrochemical industry
Bachelors degree in mechanical electrical chemical or reliability engineering (B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M. Tech. from a recognized (AICTE) university
Preferred Qualifications:
15 years relevant experience providing engineering support in two or more of the areas of responsibility such as reliability (Incident Investigation facilitation development of Reliability centered maintenance strategies and application of Reliability system modelling for availability analysis) integrity advanced NDE inspections Quality assurance and Robotics Tools & Technologies in oil and gas operating environment.
Masters/Doctoral degree in mechanical electrical chemical or reliability engineering
API certifications on fixed equipment (PV Tanks Pipelines or Piping).
Extensive knowledge of all applicable codes such as ASME ISO AWS API and DNV
Reliability tools/technology certifications and training SMRP
ASNT Level III or equivalent ISO certification in one or more NDE techniques
Experience /Exposure to Capital Projects (all phases).
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1:30pm to 1:30pm.
