Job Description

The Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School (Parker) in Devens MA has an opening for a parttime grade 1112 math teacher for theschool year. Responsibilities include teaching two sections of Advanced Algebra/Trigonometry. We seek a creative educator to join a missiondriven studentcentered program grounded in the Ten Common Principles of the Coalition of Essential Schools. Instruction is personalized and studentcentered with a focus on application and demonstration of mastery. Students create portfolios of work showcasing their ability to apply their mathematical knowledge and understanding to complex problems.Qualifications include: a degree in mathematics or comparable discipline and experience working with high schoolaged students. MA licensure strongly preferred but not required; we will consider candidates who are interested in working toward licensure while employed. All candidates must pass both the subject area and literacy MTEL exams. Please apply through SchoolSpring.
