Rubicon Associates is an Australian company of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering consultants that provides naval architecture marine engineering services platform systems design and integration project management and contract management services to Defence Defence industry and other industries that own build and maintain maritime/floating assets.
Our multidisciplined team bring broad experience gained on projects across the majority of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) fleet and other international naval platforms acting as owners representative (above the line) or working for design and build Prime Contractors (below the line).
We operate an accredited Integrated Management System (IMS) incorporating:
Quality Management System certified to ISO9001: 2015 Standards
Health & Safety Management System certified to ISO45001: 2018 Standards
Environmental Management System certified to ISO14001: 2015 Standards
The opportunity
We are now seeking a focussed and client orientated Mechanical / Marine Engineer or Naval Architect to join our multidisciplinary Engineering Consulting team.
This role reports to our Design and Engineering Manager and can be based in Cairns Melbourne or Adelaide.

Key responsibilities include
As part of a multidisciplined team undertake Mechanical (Marine) Design activities and Engineering Assessments across the product development and upgrade lifecycles related to marine systems Concept Preliminary and Detailed Design in the following platform system areas:
