Job Description

Candidates must have either OR inventory management or clinical work experience to be considered for an interview.

This is a MF position that works onsite at the hospital.

This role does not manage/supervise other employees.

The Manager Perioperative Materials & Equipment will be responsible for performing a variety of supply and equipment related tasks and functions for the Operating Room and other Surgical Services Departments at all sites with the overall aim of ensuring efficient operations lowering cost and maintaining high quality of care and patient safety standards. The role will also act as a liaison between the Surgical Services Departments at Lurie Westchester and Northbrook and key support departments such as Supply Chain Health Technology Management (HTM) and Facilities.Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for ordering and ensuring timely delivery for all specialty supply products and implants for the Operating Room and all Surgical Services Departments at Lurie Westchester and Northbrook

Works closely with Surgical Reprocessing and OR Staff to place instrument orders prioritize needs and track trends in order to improve performance and lower cost

In close partnership with Supply Chain plays a lead role on coordinating and executing new product evaluations equipment trials and supply cost reduction opportunities for all surgical locations

Assists with capital equipment acquisitions: product research obtains quotes places capital purchase orders coordinated deliveries and installations.

Acts as a liaison between the Operating Room and other Surgical Services Departments and key support departments such as Health Technology Management Supply Chain and Facilities.

Facilitates repairs of broken equipment and works with vendors to obtain loaners to and rentals to prevent interruptions in service at all sites

Functions as the ECRI captain for the Operating Room and responds to alerts related to Surgical Services and Anesthesia

Power User in Microsystems Instrument Tracking Systems TrackCore Tissue Tracking Software Workday and other job related platforms

Other job functions as assigned

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Bachelors Degree Preferred; Surgical Services experience (clinical or nonclinical) required

Certification/Licensure/Registration: RN in the State of Illinois preferred

35 years of Medical Supply and Equipment Inventory Management experience and/or clinical Operating Room or Procedural Area experience

Knowledgeable and skilled using various software to platforms essential to performing the job at a highlevel Epic/Optime Microsystems Instrument Tracking (SPM) Track Core (Tissue Tracking) Workday ECRI experience preferred

Knowledge of OR Supplies and Equipment highly preferred

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and thrive in a high paced environment

Knowledge related to the process of instrument sterilization and highlevel disinfection

Strong interpersonal communication and problemsolving skills

Detailed oriented and strong organizational skills

Project management experienced preferred

Education

Bachelors Degree: Nursing (Required)

Current certificate and license reelevate to Practice in Illinois State of Illinois

Pay Range

$93600.00$154440.00 Salary
