Job Description

What our Parts Clerk will do:

  • Parts Clerks will provide excellent customer service to their direct customer (line mechanics) working to prevent downtime during any operations event. Parts clerks need to be knowledgably of the store room and effectively support mechanics and or operators to find critical spares when needed.
  • Scheduled cycle counts and audits will be conducted to ensure parts are physically and systematically consumed and match respectively. Parts Clerk will work with Parts Lead to provide continuous improvement for right sizing store room and updating Oracle eAM.
  • Ordering and receiving parts will be a daily task the Parts Clerk executes. Ordering new parts when parts are consumed or new parts are needed and receiving said parts when they arrive will be done daily. Parts clerks will differentiate between stock and nonstock parts and email internal customers when nonstock items are received.
  • Oracle eAM will be used daily to create Work Orders for customers Purchase Request for ordering parts receiving parts against Work Orders/Purchase Orders and looking up any customer concerns in Oracle eAM. Items received that are nonstock and expensed for jobs by the area Planner needs to be kitted in the kitting zone and communicated to area Planner.
  • Daily auditing of the disposition zone return to stock shelf and kitting area will be needed to assure part flow through shop processes is happening correctly.

Qualifications :

Skills & experience that are necessary as our Parts Clerk will include but not limited to:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience/interaction with Food Industry/manufacturing standards.
  • Ability to work in and with a CMMS System.
  • Ability to trouble and work through problem solving exercises to reach root cause analysis.
  • Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of store room work flow and associated parts.

Education & Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or six months experience in a fast pace production environment. Preferred Oracle and Excel experience with basic knowledge of tools and mechanical parts.
