Role Purpose: To lead and optimize the strategic and operational maintenance of Utilities function to support production units/ business areas ensuring reliability efficiency compliance and continuous improvement. The role is pivotal in driving costeffective maintenance solutions and providing uninterrupted Utilities support to Production Units while enhancing equipment performance and safety standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the Plant engineering function that includes Utilities maintenance operations emergency services and waste management aligning with business needs.
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance ensuring minimal breakdowns.
- Preparation of annual budgets for expenses resources investments planning major overhauls and replacement of equipments / machines parts / assemblies.
- Manage budgets track expenses and drive costsaving initiatives and optimize plant engineering objectives within budget constraints.
- Support the development of investment plans.
- Ensure uninterrupted utilities (Grid power DG and UPS operations water compressed air AC systems Fire management system .
- Supervise manage and develop Utilities maintenance teams ensuring competency and staffing needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety health environmental and statutory regulations (MSEDCL MIDC Factories Act MPCB
- Laisoning with Govt Authorities as applicable
- Drive process improvements automation and digitalization in Utilities maintenance operations (BMS) etc .
- Oversee spare parts management vendor coordination AMCs and capital asset Management .
- Supports production units/business areas with overall site Utilities maintenance activities related to electrical mechanical and Others.
- To equip /upgrade the Utilities to meet the current and upcoming needs for the increased volume of production.
- Project Planning and installation of equipment & machines for Utilities.
- Ensure Audit compliance & active participation for continual improvements.
- Identify & implement improvements projects for reduction / elimination of wastages / leakages of resources like water power compressed air fuel etc.
- Planning for Spare Parts for critical equipments under Plant Engineering control.
- Implement best practices such as TPM 5S and lean methodologies.
- Proficiency in handling emergency situations
- Hazardous waste disposal as per government norms.
Your Profile:Were looking for someone with the following qualifications and skills:
Education and Experience:
- Masters/Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
- 15 years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing setup.
- Extensive experience in breakdown preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Proven expertise in plant engineering utilities & s management and compliance handling.
- Experience in ISOand 45001 Management Systems requirements.
- Implementation experience of Green Power Projects
Technical & Behavioural Competence
- Demonstrate a high level of customer orientation ensuring maintenance supports operational efficiency.
- Strong leadership in plant maintenance reliability engineering and asset management.
- Proficiency in performance management cost control and maintenance strategies.
- Indepth knowledge of regulatory compliance environmental safety and risk assessment.
- Ability to drive innovation sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong financial acumen including budget management cost optimization and investment planning.
- Expertise in digitalization projects for maintenance including automation and predictive analytics.
- Strong problemsolving analytical thinking and decisionmaking abilities.
- Knowledge about best practices such as lean methodologies.
