Job Description
- Rising senior in an accredited Bachelors degree program (Class of 2026 preferred
- Interest in working in Sales
- Leadership skills and experience in school/extracurricular activities
- Entrepreneurial qualities and competitive spirit
- Ability to thrive in a demanding and fastpaced environment
- Ability to work during the full 9week program
Competencies and Skills
Effective Presentations: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques; ability to present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality.
Listening: Knowledge of effective listening issues and techniques; ability to gather clarify and apply information transmitted verbally while exhibiting a genuine interest toward the speaker.
Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective selfmanagement practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives projects groups or activities making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

1290 Mutual Funds
As an Intern working on 1290 Mutual Funds you will:
- Participate in indepth trainings on Equitables 1290 Mutual Funds
- Shadow members of the internal wholesale team to learn
- Creating partnerships with external wholesalers Financial Professionals major firms and other stakeholders
- Coaching Financial Professionals in making sales pitches to client
- Interpreting and explaining annuity hypotheticals/illustrations
- Making proactive phone calls to generate sales
- Perform adhoc projects related to the sales of mutual funds
Internship Details
Dates: June 2025 to August 2025
Location: Charlotte NC
Work Environment: Hybrid / Flexible (required to be in the office 3 days/week)
Hourly Rate: $22/hour
