TMHCC Stop Loss a $2 Billion division within TMHCC leads the way in providing medical stop loss insurance sold to employers. Medical Stop Loss provides an added layer of insurance protection to employers who choose to selffund their health benefit plans. Selffunding can incur risks from catastrophic claims and Medical Stop Loss insurance from Tokio Marine HCC is designed to protect employers from that risk.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled System Engineer to join the team responsible for architecting deploying and supporting our IT infrastructure including onpremises and cloudbased systems. This role predominantly focuses on maintaining Windows Server environments configuration management monitoring systems virtualization platforms and automation tools to optimize performance and support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Backup and Restore: Leverage deep understanding of backup strategies and methodologies as well as disaster recovery and business continuity situations.
Collaboration and Communication: Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality tact and diplomacy. Clearly communicate updates progress and technical concepts to stakeholders and management. Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Compliance and Safety: Adhere to corporate policies ensuring all activities meet safety and security standards.
Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for server network and IT infrastructure assets and processes as well as showcase good ticket management skills.
EndUser Support: Provide nextlevel support for technologyrelated issues and requests.
Keep the lights on: All roles are expected to perform key maintenance activities in which to continue business operations.
Planning and : Ability to follow work plans meet deadlines and deliver highquality results.
Productivity Apps: Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel Access PowerPoint Word).
Project Management: Lead small scale IT efforts as well as participate in crossfunctional projects.
Problem Solving: Use strong troubleshooting skills and indepth knowledge of multisite mixedtechnology enterprise environments.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on hardware and software systems to ensure reliability.
OnCall Support: Participate in a rotational schedule for offhours system support.
Relationship management: Manage relationships with external vendors and partners.
Security: Showcase a strong security mindset with clear understanding of security best practices security controls and risk mitigation strategies.
Workload management: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Education Experience & Knowledge:
4year bachelors degree in computer science a related field or equivalent education and/or work experience.
At least 3 years of handson recent experience with the technologies listed above in the Required Experience section.
Certifications (not required): MS Azure VMware Microsoft Windows Server
Required Experience:
Directory Services: Possess a strong understanding of user and group policy management in an onprem Active Directory environment.
Networking: Strong working knowledge of and the ability to diagnose/resolve common network and connectivity issues. Handson experience with Domain Name System (DNS) Internet/Intranet wireless and general networking support tools.
Server Management: Proven Microsoft Windows server experience in complex environments with the ability to Install configure patch and maintain Windows servers in Active Directory environment. Some Linux experience is a plus but not required.
Virtualization: Handson expertise with VMware 7/8 ideally in a Dell VxRails environment including resource allocation and optimization for virtualized workloads.
Desired Experience:
Automation: Experience with Terraform or Ansible Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Powershell or other scripting experience. This is a major plus!
Backup and Recovery: Perform system backups and recovery to ensure data integrity and disaster readiness using tools like Veeam and Exagrid.
Cloud Administration: Manage Microsoft Azure cloud resources namely experience with deploying cloudnative applications virtual machine management service endpoint and network configuration and/or Azure Virtual Desktops. This is a major plus!
Configuration Management: Use Microsoft SCCM/ConfigMgr to deploy software manage updates and ensure system consistency.
Monitoring and Optimization: Leverage SolarWinds and Dynatrace for system monitoring and performance tuning.
Storage Management: Administer shared storage solutions such as SAN or vSAN environments.
Other Role Expectations:
Requires participating in a rotational schedule for offhours system support.
Some tasks may require completion during scheduled maintenance windows outside of regular business hours.
This is a hybrid role requiring three days onsite at the office and two days remote work each week
May be required to remain stationary for extended periods of time
May be required to move up to 10 pounds
Must be able to operate a computer and other devices
Close vision and ability to adjust focus such as required to read a computer screen
