You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager and Leader and social worker to join us as Head of Service for Ipswich and East Suffolk Adult Social Care (ASC). This is an initial 12month position that promises to be both rewarding and varied offering you the chance to work across both urban and rural areas in Suffolk.
The role includes overseeing 8 colocated Integrated Neighbourhood Teams along with a hospital and flexible support team. In this key role you will work closely with and support the Area Director and Service Managers playing a vital part in managing the Ipswich and East locality. Your responsibilities will include:
No two days will be the same so you will need to be flexible committed highly motivated and able to think on your feet. Friendly and compassionate you will work alongside both managers and practitioners to drive performance improvement using dynamic and strategic leadership approaches to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.
You should have an excellent understanding of both health and care systems demonstrating behaviours of a system leader. This role is crucial in the ongoing development of the localities dischargetoassess approach and integrated neighbourhood team working. A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England along with experience working at a senior level within a local authority are required.
