Who are we looking for
Were looking for a Planning Officer to work with our client Main Roads WA on a fixed term contract until June 2025 based in Geraldton.There may be the possibility of an extension for a further 12 months for the ideal candidate.
Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Process applications for third parties seeking approval to undertake work within the road reserve
- Maintain Third Party Work within the Road Reserve Register
- Coordinate response to planning referrals and preliminary enquiries relating to subdivision development applications and town planning schemes and assist to maintain the planning register
- Monitor and assist customers in compliance with conditions set fordevelopment and access applications
- Assist with other enquiries relating to Main Roads reserves and Network Access
What you will bring to the team:
- Experience in planning processes; project/infrastructure related work within road reserves
- Research analysis and problem solving skills
- Written communication and report writing
- Knowledge of land acquisition and development processes: project/infrastructure related work within road reserves
- Use of computer based mapping systems
