Founded more than 15 years ago and headquartered in Chicago the DV Group of financial services firms has grown to more than 350 people operating throughout North America and in Europe. Since spinning out of a large brokerage firm in 2016 DV Trading has rapidly scaled as an independent proprietary trading firm utilizing its own capital trading strategies and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity to worldwide financial markets and hedging opportunities to commodity producers and users. Now DV group affiliates include two broker dealers a cryptocurrency market making firm and a bourgeoning investment adviser.

DV Energy is a rapidly growing division that specializes in trading crude oil refined products natural gas and related energy markets across US Europe and Asia. Our proprietary risk management and trading methodologies along with a strong ability to adapt to changing conditions has allowed DV Energy to grow into one of the largest financial participants within the global energy complex.
Job Responsibilities
- Work side by side with senior energy traders
- Learn proprietary methodologies and trading systems that support an established trading business
- Realtime risk management in the form of trade entry and risk layoffs
- Build and maintain trading models
- Enhance existing trades; identify and pursue new opportunities
- Liaise between trading group internal company departments and OTC relationships
- Further responsibilities may be driven by the individuals interests and specific skills
Requirements
- Possess a strong work ethic and be able to learn quickly in a fast paced high pressure environment
- Detail oriented organized diligent
- Maintain composure and communicate clearly when under pressure
- Ability to succeed working as part of a diversified team
- Strong interest in trading and energy markets in particular
- Strong understanding of math probability and statistics
- High level of proficiency in Excel and VBA; SQL python statistical modeling other programming a plus
- Advanced aptitude for problem solving and multitasking
