You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThis Assistant Professor (Insect Ecology) position is located in Logan Utah which is situated in a spectacular Rocky Mountain valley approximately one and onehalf hour drive north of Salt Lake City.
Successful candidate for this position will: Teach courses in biology related to insect ecology such as Entomology Introductory Biology Ecology or Organismal Biology as well as specialized courses in related areas of interest; research topics such as climate change impacts pollination invasive species biological control hostplant relationships crop resistance or the functioning of insect microbiomes; establish independent externally funded and nationally recognized research programs in insect ecology; and form effective collaborations with colleagues and contribute to undergraduate and graduate education in the Department of Biology.
Candidates must have: A Ph.D. in Biology or a related field (foreign equivalent degree is acceptable); Postdoctoral experience in insect ecology; demonstrated ability to establish an independent externally funded and nationally recognized research program. Required skills and publication/presentation requirements may be earned during advanced educational studies.
