Must attend 16 hours in house training and shadowing sessionsunder direction of an R.N.
This is a new program approved by the State of Florida. Eligible and successful applications may be able to challenge the CNA test upon completion of time.
Duties /Responsibilities Include:
Make occupied/unoccupied bed
Pass Fresh Ice/water
Pass meals/set up trays for Resident
Check Resident Temps
Perform 1 person transfers
Reposition resident in bed/float heels
Transfer Resident to wheelchair using gait belt
Use gait belt to assist with ambulation
Oral Care/dentures (alert residents)
Provide a bed bath/perineal/catheter care
Change incontinent brief
Assist with hearing aids
Assist resident to bathroom or to the urinal (one person assist)
- Completed Application
- Proof of your High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Photo Identification
- Social Security Card
- Clear FDLE/FBI Background Screen
We will consult the Florida and/or National Abuse Registry for Children and Adults. No one with a felony conviction certain misdemeanor charges and/or found on the abuse registry can be admitted to the class.
