As the Logistics and Library Shelving Facility Team Lead you will play a vital role within the Access Services Department of the Williams College Libraries. If you have a service mindset are a team player motivational leader open communicator and a creative problem solver we are looking for you!
Along with a small but mighty team of 3 the Team Lead will work collaboratively with colleagues from the Libraries Williams College Museum of Art Facilities and Campus Safety to ingest move store and secure college resources housed in the libraries and the Library Shelving Facility (LSF).
Working with the Access Services Department Head you will provide planning expertise and along with your team will be a full participant in the services provided any supported by the Access Services department including but not limited to: scanning staffing service points shifting and deliveries.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and serve as a motivator and goto resource for their team.
Coordinate the work of 1 fulltime and 2 halftime staff.
Responsible for the careful and proper handling and storage of oftentimes rare archival and delicate library resources.
Ingest and store materials at the Library Shelving Facility (LSF) and provide timely retrieval scanning and delivery of requested materials between libraries and across campus.
Oversee the LSF facility and coordinate the staffing and daily operations of the Library Shipping & Receiving service point.
Requirements:
Associate Degree or equivalent
2 5 years related experience
Valid Drivers License
Ability to lift and move loads of 40 lbs
Must have OSHA Forklift certification or be willing to obtain one within the first month of employment. Coursework and certification test will be provided by the College if needed.
