Job Summary
Dr. Bismarck Odei MD Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Huntsman Cancer Institute is seeking a motivated and organized PartTime Research Assistant to join his research team. Dr Odeis research interests include optimization of prostate cancer treatments outcome and decreasing treatment toxicity incorporating biomarker use for prognostication and predictive evaluation in prostate cancers and the utilization of artificial intelligence for molecular or imaging signatures to inform oncology management decisions. He also focuses on gender differences in the academic medical workforce health politics and policy and research to improve access for disadvantaged patients in healthcare. Remote work options are available providing flexibility for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: Research Portfolio Management: Assist in organizing and managing Dr. Odeis research projects ensuring they progress smoothly and reach successful completion. Data Collection and Supervision: Collect research data and supervise others in data collection efforts maintaining high standards of accuracy and organization. Writing and Literature Review: Conduct literature reviews to support ongoing research and contribute to the writing of manuscripts and grant proposals. Team Collaboration: Work closely with Dr. Odei and other members of the research team ensuring effective communication and collaboration across different disciplines. Research Support: Provide general support for research activities including handling administrative tasks maintaining records and coordinating project timelines. Analysis Support: Provide basic analysis of research data. Statistical analysis or programming support is not a prerequisite but would bring value Work Environment and Level of Frequency that may be required Nearly Continuously: Office environment.
