Position Summary:

As an MRI Technologist you will work under the supervision of the administrator and MRI staff to perform highquality MRI exams while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role requires attention to detail strong technical skills and a patientfocused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI exams following established imaging protocols.

• Ensure accurate patient identification and complete MRI screening forms.

• Obtain patient history and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort.

• Position patients correctly and set up scan protocols.

• Administer intravenous contrast injections as per NYS certification guidelines.

• Apply knowledge of agespecific contrast dosing for MRI scans.

• Conduct quality assurance (QA) procedures and participate in research projects.

• Review images for technical and diagnostic quality ensuring proper labeling.

• Utilize PACS system for image management.

• Handle patient billing and tracking using EPIC software.

• Maintain compliance with ACR and NYSDOH guidelines.

• Keep MRI area clean and stocked.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth department operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Medical Radiography or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Active ARRT License and Registration (MRI certification preferred or eligibility required).

• Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

• Contrast Injection Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years of MRI experience or relevant clinical training.
