Job Description
Rolesand Responsibilities
Asset Management & Optimization
- Manage the lifecycle of software assets including procurement deployment monitoring renewal and decommissioning.
- Develop and maintain an uptodate inventory of all software licenses and assets across the organization.
- Optimize software license usage to maximize value and minimize costs.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and address noncompliance or unauthorized usage.
- Serve as the primary contact for software audits conducted by vendors or thirdparty organizations.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with vendors suppliers and procurement teams to negotiate software contracts licenses and renewals.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align software usage with business needs.
Policy Development & Governance
- Develop and enforce policies procedures and standards for software asset management.
- Implement controls to reduce software compliance risks and enhance security.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze software usage patterns and provide recommendations to optimize licensing.
- Generate reports on software compliance cost savings and asset utilization for senior management.
Skills
Bachelors degree in IT Business Administration or arelated field.
4 to 5 years of experience in software asset management ITasset management or related roles.
Strong knowledge of software licensing models contractsand compliance frameworks (e.g. Microsoft Adobe Oracle).
Proficiency in SAM tools (e.g. ServiceNow Flexera SnowLicense Manager).
Excellent analytical organizational and communicationskills.
Familiarity with ITIL framework and ISO/IEC 19770 standardsis a plus.
