Job Description
INTERNAL MEDICINE PHYSICIAN GRANDE PRAIRIE: The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital is seeking an Internal Medicine (Generalist) Specialist Physician to join the internal medicine physician group in Grande Prairie Grande Prairie Regional Hospital VIRTUAL TOUR
FRCSC (Fellow Royal College of Surgeons Canada) designation is desired.
The Internal Medicine specialist physician will have Alberta Health Services hospital privileges.
This position will include inpatient internal medicine hospital oncall with opportunity to participate in the reading pool for ECGs and opportunity to perform Exercise Stress Testing (with CPSA approval).
Duties include but not limited to:
Reside in and have as his/her primary residence Grande Prairie
Establish and maintain a full time community based practice within the community
Provide internal medicine inpatient hospital and call assistance as required
Contribute to and participate in teaching programs and activities
Contribute to and participate in other administrative duties as assigned.
The successful candidate may choose to operate their business by joining an existing practice or by opening their own practice. This is the candidates business choice and will not be managed through the recruitment process.

Required Qualifications:
- Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada Certification (RCPSC) or RCPSC eligiblity desired
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Related Legislation
Under Albertas Health Professions Act and Physicians Surgeons and Osteopaths Profession Regulation you must be a registered member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) to practice medicine in Alberta.
